Greatness: How Bad Do You Want It?

Greatness… Meaning? Greatness refers to the quality of being prominent, distinguished, and/or eminent. It signifies importance, mastery, and expertise. It, like everything else in the world, comes at a price. It isn’t complimentary nor offered at a discount. If you are one of the countless individuals who dream of being great, I dare you to ask yourself these 2 questions: “How bad do I want it?” and “Am I willing to pay the price?”

Do you want it bad enough to fast, pray, and seek if required of you? What would you sacrifice to get to the next level? Are you willing to cut negative people, places, habits, and distractions out of your life or are you too attached to let go? Are you willing to make time to study and invest in yourself, your craft, your dreams? Will you give of yourself to those who may need assistance? Are you willing to put in extra hours to achieve the results that you desire? Are you willing to take responsibility for every action; whether it yields outstanding or inadequate results? Will you quit when it becomes arduous; or will you perceive it as the fuel needed to rise, retain focus, and continue to strive?

I ask again, “How bad do you want it? Are you willing to pay the price?" The sleepless nights, misunderstandings, rejection, lack of proper finances, lousy jobs and employers, confusion, distractions, mistaken identity, humiliation, and non-fulfilling relationships are each a part of the process. You learn, or should learn, from each of the experiences that you face. As each of the previous examples were negatives, allow me to revitalize you with the positives. You will walk in and experience abundance, love, fulfilling relationships, peace, wholeness, awesome careers and employers, understanding, and well rested nights. You are aware that you are victorious, intelligent, loved, blessed, fearfully and wonderfully made, purposed for greatness, wealthy, treasured, and gifted. You are God’s Masterpiece created in His image to resemble Him.

Have you prepared yourself for the days ahead? When the opportunity presents itself, will you take your rightful place or hide in the shadows of procrastination? I dare you to prepare, train, and challenge yourself in this present moment. Destiny will arrive at the appointed time; don’t be late as you may miss the date with greatness ahead. There is a place prepared for you; are you ready?

Before you answer “yay, nay, or almost,” ask yourself, “How bad do I really want it? Am I willing to pay the price?” My hope is that we each crave it bad enough to pay the price for greatness at the next level; so that those behind us will aim then achieve even higher. We must be true to ourselves, our callings, those to which we are held accountable, and our Creator. We each are designed and destined for greatness regardless of our imperfections and/or disabilities. Your purpose lies within you; your gifts and talents yearn to be exercised not only for pleasure but also for profitability. Be blessed, strengthened, encouraged, patient, and made wiser as you continue on your journey to greatness.
