As Valentine's Day fast approaches

I count my blessings and every token

Of appreciation, dedication, and selfless love

My heart longs for the unadulterated love

The love that has no limits

The love that forgives and gives quickly

The love that protects and doesn't envy

Nor neglect but constantly seeks to project itself

Ensuring that it will be heard and known 

This is the love for which I long

A love that holds me like none other

A love that cuddles and comforts before and after

A love that sings into the midnight hour 

A love that's strong and confident

A love that is faithful and grateful

A love that is patient and stands firm on its own

This is the love for which I long

The love that wipes my tears 

A love that listens and not only hears

A love that cannot be bought with a price

A love that covers my wrongs and sin

Throwing them into the sea and never bringing them up again

Unless of course to correct out of love and not accuse for falling short

A love that doesn't end

Yet stands forever, everlasting

A love that brings peace
