Today
How far I've grown, how far I've gone
Sometimes with others, yet many times alone
My path has not been easy always
But with God on the throne, I've had some fascinating days
Walking in healing, healing, healed
Walking through deliverance, delivered, ego killed
Made whole and broken a few years down
Down, never stayed, lifted up, lift me up
Choices, made with purpose, sometimes pride, other times lust
I'm where I am today by many means, avenues, and ventures
God, my faith, the cards I've been dealt, choices, and consequences
Road blocks, accesses, favor, rejection, hate, love, promotion, demotion
God is the Alpha and Omega, my beginning and ending
The beginning and the ending
In Him, I move, I breathe, I see, I hear, I exist, I am
I am, the great I AM, in Him, by Him, for Him
As I age and get even closer to my end
I am not where I thought I'd be today, but I'm thankful
Life could have been worse, it could have been greater
But as we all know, we are where we need to be at a given moment
Because we made a choice and received the consequences
Every action has a reaction, so here I am today, thankful
