Hubby / Wifey & I: A Prayer for the Singles in Preparation, Engaged, & Married Couples ;)

Lord,

I uplift my marriage unto you now. I pray that your hand be upon us. Cover us in your love, peace, wisdom, understanding, knowledge, patience, virtue, holiness, righteousness, power, and blood. Lead and direct our paths so that we may not lean unto our own understandings but acknowledge you and your divinity. God, I pray that you deliver us from any and every bondage, hurt, pain, rejection, secret sin, lust, demonic desire, illness, and loneliness.

As you have created marriage for companionship, I pray that we be able to meet each other’s needs and help as well as encourage each other to grow. Enable us to serve faithfully not only ministry wise but sexually, emotionally, honorably, financially, and respectfully through self-control. Let every form of adultery, fornication, covetousness, wickedness, maliciousness, envy, murder, debate, deceit, unrighteousness, cruelty, ungodliness, whispering, gossip, anti-Christ, perversion, covenant-breaking, boasting, and lying that may seek to destroy our marriage be broken and cancelled in the name of Jesus. Let forgiveness and love abound. Let the heart of God and faithfulness be instilled within us both. May you strengthen us where we are weak.

I pray that our sex lives be amazingly fulfilling, spontaneous, exciting, powerful, and exceed expectations. I pray that you continue to be the foundation of our marriage always and eternity. Heal and deliver us, Lord, from all things that may hinder our walk with you. Let us be quick to hear and slow to speak. Allow us to respect one another and not move according to our own selfish desires.

Let the love of Jesus overtake us; and may our love be a reflection of yours. For we have been justified by you, created in, for, and by you to be the salt and light of the earth. Father, you are the true vine that chose us to bear fruit. Prune us if we lack a fruitful life. Cleanse us if we are dirty and filthy before your sight. We are complete in you, made whole by you and you alone.

My God, I trust you, your will, and your purpose for our lives. Strengthen us, oh God, in this walk with you to become more like Jesus. We are your workmanship; and we bless your name. For you are a Holy God, a mighty and all-powerful God. Lord, we thank you!! Glory, Hallelujah!! We bless you; we honor you, we praise you and adore you.

We thank you for the love that you’ve given and shown us, even through each other. Thank you for your many blessings and the many lessons in this journey. Lord, keep us hidden in you. I pray that our obedience and faithfulness please you daily. In Jesus name, Amen.
